FAQ

About The Busy Wall

What is The Busy Wall?

The Busy Wall is an art print shop for modern interiors. The collection is built around visual character, room presence and pieces that feel considered on a real wall, not only inside a product grid.

What kind of wall art do you sell?

We sell curated art prints and posters for modern interiors. Some pieces are quiet and architectural. Others are warmer, bolder or stranger.

Are the artworks original to The Busy Wall?

Yes. The artworks are developed and selected for The Busy Wall, then prepared as wall prints for the shop. The process can include photography, digital work, collage, editing and contemporary creative tools, depending on the piece.

Do you use AI in the artwork process?

Contemporary creative tools can be part of the process, but they do not replace curation. The final work is shaped through selection, editing, composition and testing how the image lives as a print in a room. Read more on how the artworks are made

Where are you based?

The Busy Wall is based in Estonia and sells online to customers in Europe and selected international destinations.

Prints and materials

What are the prints made on?

Our prints are made on thick art paper with a smooth matte finish. The exact material details can vary by product type, so check the product page for the most accurate information.

Are the prints glossy?

No. The standard finish is matte, which keeps reflections lower and gives the artwork a calmer surface.

Are the prints framed?

You can choose. Most prints are available framed or unframed, with or without a passepartout.

What frame colour do you offer?

The current frame option is black. It gives the print a clean edge and works well with the visual direction of the shop.

What is a passepartout?

A passepartout is the border placed around the artwork inside the frame. It creates more space between the image and the frame, which can make the piece feel more open on the wall.

Should I choose a passepartout or no passepartout?

Choose a passepartout if you want more breathing room around the artwork. Choose no passepartout if you prefer a cleaner, more direct edge-to-edge look.

Can I order an unframed print with a passepartout?

If the product page offers that combination, yes. The available variants are shown on each product page, so choose the exact frame and passepartout option before adding the print to cart.

What is the difference between framed and unframed?

A framed print arrives with a more finished look and stronger wall presence. An unframed print gives you more flexibility if you want to use your own frame, clips or poster rail.

Do framed prints arrive ready to hang?

Framed prints are intended to be ready for wall display, but hanging hardware and details can vary by format. Check the product page and package contents before hanging.

Sizes and choosing a print

What sizes do you offer?

Available sizes are shown on each product page. The shop includes smaller formats for shelves and corners, as well as larger prints for walls that need more presence.

Which print size should I choose?

Start with the wall, not the product grid. Smaller sizes work well on shelves, narrow walls and grouped arrangements. Larger sizes work better above a sofa, bed, desk or sideboard, where the print needs to hold the room.

Is 70×100 cm or 100x140 cm too large?

Usually not, if the wall has enough space around it. A 70 × 100 cm print becomes a clear focal point, so it works best where the wall needs one strong decision rather than several smaller objects.

Is A4 too small for wall art?

A4 works best for shelves, small corners, bedside areas or gallery walls. On a large empty wall, it will usually look too small unless it is part of a group.

Can I make a gallery wall with your prints?

Yes. For a calmer gallery wall, mix sizes and leave enough space between the pieces. It usually works better when the prints share some visual connection, such as tone, subject, contrast or mood.

Can I pair two prints together?

Yes. Pairing works best when one print is visually stronger and the other gives it space. Avoid choosing two pieces that compete for attention in the same way.

Care and display

How should I handle an unframed print?

Handle the print with clean, dry hands and avoid touching the printed surface more than necessary. Keep it flat or safely rolled until framing.

How should I frame an unframed print?

Use a frame that matches the print size shown on the product page. If you want more space around the image, choose a larger frame with a passepartout.

Can I hang the print in a bathroom?

Bathrooms are not ideal unless the room is well ventilated and the print is properly framed. Moisture can damage paper, frames and passepartout over time.

Can I hang the print in direct sunlight?

Avoid long exposure to direct sunlight. Strong sun can fade prints over time, especially near large windows.

How do I clean a framed print?

Use a dry, soft cloth on the frame or glazing. Do not use water, sprays or cleaning products directly on the print.

Can I send a print as a gift?

Yes. Enter the recipient’s delivery address at checkout. Make sure the address is correct before placing the order.

Do you include prices in the package?

The package should not include unnecessary promotional material. If you are sending a gift and are concerned about pricing documents, contact us before ordering.

Do you offer gift cards?

If gift cards are available, they will be shown in the shop. If not, join the list or check back later.
